Andy Dalton says pandemic 'definitely a part of' his decision to sign with the Cowboys

The former Cincinnati Bengals quarterback, who owns a 36棋牌 in Dallas, signed with the Cowboys over the weekend.

Asked if the the crisis contributed to his decision, he said, "That was definitely a part of it."
The Katy native noted the pandemic was not the only or deciding factor, but said he weighed not having to figure out the logistics of a move — "especially during a time like this when there's a lot of unknowns."
Dalton will likely serve as a backup to Dak Prescott, who may not have toed the guidelines quite so tightly. The Cowboys starting quarterback made headlines in April for allegedly not following social distancing measures.
Dalton joined the Cowboys on a one-year deal. After starring at TCU, Dalton earned three Pro Bowl nods in nine seasons with the Bengals. The 32-year-old told Schefter he chose Dallas over "several" other options.
Former Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant was not too impressed by the signing, especially as it relates to Prescott.
Dalton said the Cowboys represented the best opportunity for his career moving forward.
"This was a big-picture plan and I'm excited," he said. "Obviously, for this year, I think it’s a good opportunity for me to learn and be around an offensive coach and be around a great organization."
