Burger Boy, State Farm agents giving away $5,000 worth of gift cards to essential workers
Local State Farm Agents and Burger Boy are giving away $5,000 worth of gift cards as a way to thank frontline workers fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
Between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. today, the fast food restaurant, in conjunction with local State Farm agents, will give away Burger Boy gift cards to doctors, nurses, first responders and grocery store employees, according to a news release.
“We are hoping to share some simple kindness to show our appreciation for the men and women who make sure we are safe, fed and healed,” said State Farm agent Sam Longoria. “I think all of us need to be reminded that we can always give something back and make lives around us better.”
You can pick up the gift cards at the Burger Boy located at 7363 W. Loop 1604.
There will be signs that will direct essential workers to a pop-up tent, where they will need to show their ID to get their gift card. The event will be first-come, first-served.
