San Antonio meteorologist Greg Pollak announces he will be a first-time dad
Greg Pollak and his wife are expecting their first child, the WOAI-TV and KABB meteorologist announced last month on social media.
Pollak said they found out the news in early February. "We were in shock and got really emotional," he told mySA. "I started crying."
The meteorologist and his wife are navigating a pregnancy during a global pandemic, which provides challenges to what can be a difficult time.

"It's been a bit stressful," Pollak said.
Many local OB-GYNs are limiting the number of patients they see a day due as part of social distancing measures they have taken, which includes not allowing husbands and partners of expecting mothers to be in the patient's room. Pollak was one of them, but he is hopeful for future visits.
Pollak said his wife, who is about 17 weeks along, is doing well.
"She had bad morning sickness the first trimester but things have gotten better," he said. "Every week she’s had different cravings. One week was grapefruit, one was jerk chicken."

The San Antonio weatherman said they are both looking forward to the new addition to their family.
"We're a little nervous but we're excited to learn how to raise a child together," he said.
The baby is due in October.
